Ruby-crowned Kinglet (36) (Regulus calendula) User: Chris  (See all photos - 1427) (Comments - 4176)
Canada (British Columbia) I've never witnesses this display and the true crown on this species - so it was hard to believe when it happened. There were 2 other Ruby-crowned and 1 Golden-crowned Kinglet in the same tree, which likely lead to some agitation. Brunswick Point, Delta BC.

Canada (British Columbia) So far the Ruby-crowned Kinglet is winning the race by far over the Golden-crowned in terms of photo uploads. Bath Slough Trail, Richmond, BC.

Canada (Québec) Only 5 photos of this difficult species on the site. On a dark day in a dark setting, it was challenging to get even this mediocre example. Seen at Sainte-Catherine in a stand of pines along with 2 others, and 2 Brown Creepers.

Canada (Ontario) Kingston - kinglets are notoriously challenging to photograph so I was shocked when I saw the result. I had no idea the bird cooperated so well.
