Yes! Paul's my brother-in-law.

I'm more of a bird photographer than bird watcher - I typically know very little of a particular bird until after having it captured on sensor and reading up on what I've found. I do however find birds fascinating, and tend to several bird feeders in my backyard.

Where is it you go for the warblers?

Great to e-meet you!
I too often find myself using the camera to take pics, then examining the photos afterwards. I think on several occasions members here have said they later identified birds using a variety of photos with different angles, as it can provide a record of what you saw.
I was introduced to Long Point Ontario a few years ago by our founding members, Sue and Ahmad. It isthanks to them that I'm able to witness the miracle of migration, something that still poorly understood. Will be there most of next week, but it is still quite cool in southern Ontario.
