Mountain Bluebird (Sialia currucoides) User: Chris  (See all photos - 1583)
United States (Washington) Thanks to Birdviewing partner Lou, we managed 132 species on the trip, many of them photographed. A few got away, such as the painful Juniper Titmouse and the no-show Mountain Quail. We did manage some bluebird photos however these birds are quite skittish around vehicles and especially people. Quilomene Wildlife Area, Washington.

Lovely detailed shot. Bluebirds are pretty easy to find in the semi-arid areas of Washington. Also findable in the Okanagan in BC.
