Upon arrival at Quito on the morning of 21Feb (routing was Montreal-Toronto-Bogota-Quito), Freddy picked me up and made the relatively easy drive to Alambi, on the way to Los Bancos and the hotel Mirador Rio Blanco. The Alambi lodge was my first foray into Ecuadorian bird photography.
