Seen at 7:00am during an early game drive in Masai Mara, Kenya. I've just learned this species was uplisted to Endangered due to ongoing habitat loss, trapping and poisoning.

This was probably the rarest bird we saw on the trip. Status is uncertain due to pressure on its rainforest habitat; in Kenya it is restricted to one forest block at Kakamega.
