Seen at Steveston Village, Richmond (Vancouver) - chasing sparrows. Hopefully it finds enough food and survives the changing conditions in the months ahead.

Presqu'ile Provincial Park (Gull Island) - I had a lot of fun with three of these uncommon, attractive sandpipers. They frequently wandered within a few feet of me as they picked insects off low vegetation. They occasionally took on this characteristic profile with body and neck stretched to extend their view.
