The luckiest moment of the trip, and probably of the year for me. A pair of Five-striped Sparrows appears to be nesting in Box Canyon, near Madera Canyon. One bird came out after skulking for many hours in it's specialized habitat of steep mountainsides with vegetation. A very good-looking Sparrow!
