Within a few minutes of arriving at Mirador Rio Blanco. Amazing to see this relative of the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker taking apart this tree.

Lucky addition to the checklist.
It certainly was. I pad the price standing in the rain and getting multiple leg bites, but I was determined to get something in focus with field marks. The only bird I saw during the week there.
