Looking towards Arenal volcano in the mist and rain, we had our first view of this bird. Quite the pose on his part. Judging from the number of our sightings it seems fairly common.

On our bus ride from La Fortuna to Monteverde, the driver kindly stopped for some Guan photos across the road.

At La Fortuna, in the woods behing our unit of the Los Lagos Hotel, we saw this bird a number of times. Obviously the right season for the berries on which he was feeding.
