Conditions at their worst during this shot. However I was lucky to be up-wind when this flock landed nearby. I observed some habits of the Snow Bunting - always attempting to face the wind, and often looking downward even when not feeding. One of my favourite species...at Mirabel, Quebec

These Snow Buntings were almost invisible as they huddled against the side of a barn. They did well in keeping out of the 30-40km/h wind.

Snow Buntings making several passes overhead at Baie du Febvre, Quebec. We also saw several other 'winter' species such as Bohemian Waxwing, Rough-legged Hawk and Horned Lark in the area.
