A rarity for the West Coast, this bird was around for 3 - 4 days. On this day it was very co-operative and I was able to take this from quite close.

Richter Pass near Osoyoos BC

The last target bird on our three day tour. The bird was about 50 meters above us.

These birds were introduced into BC in 1940. They are elusive, unlike the native Quail. This was a lifer.

This was a lifer for me and a first for this site. I was too far away to get a clear photo with my camera, so I used my Spotting Scope and IPhone to get this shot. Not the best, but satisfying.
