This is one of the Parrot species that is suffering due to the double whammy of human trade and habitat loss. The ranger was very excited to see this bird as it had been some time since his last sighting. Kakamega reserve, Kenya.

It was nearly impossible to get some of the shy rainforest species photographed without actually setting up a blind and waiting it out. This was the best I could do for this new species. Kakamega Forest, Kenya.
