To the surprise of the park guide, a Heart-spotted Woodpecker flew in while we were watching a Common Flameback. He hadn't seen this bird in awhile. Seen in the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary outside near Kothamangalam, Kerala, India.

What seemed like an impossibility came true. Finding the Asian Fairy Bluebird in a spectacular setting like the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary was a highlight for all time for me. I couldn't get any closer for a photo.
