The Ivory-billed Woodpecker was partly responsible for the creation of this site in 2005. Last week marked the first time for me seeing its cousin in the genus Campephilus, the Crimson-crested Woodpecker. Glad to see him doing well in the deep forest of Panama.
We were so lucky to be visited by a Keel-billed Toucan in good light and close range. One of the highlights of 3 spare days west of Panama City near Gamboa. Thankfully the camera was ready and the humidity wasn't fogging up the lens.
