This is the subspecies from the eastern slopes of the Andes (Ocreatus underwoodii peruanus).It has buff "boots' whereas the subspecies in the west has white "boots" (Ocreatus underwoodii melanatherus).

This species exists on both sides of the Andes.This is the eastern subspecies with the bluer tail.The one on the western slopes has a greener tail.
