Birding since the late 1980s...mid 40s birder. Being out in nature and hearing the morning chorus, seeing how birds interact with their surroundings and go about their lives provides me a greater understanding of the natural environment we live in. With bird photography, every photo is different, which makes seeing the same and different species exciting.

The 90th photo of a Pileated Woodpecker on BV. Never get tired of seeing this bird. A pair nested near the Harwood Golf Club in Hudson, Quebec, and young could be seen today.

Finding a juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk this afternoon was a great surprise, confirming they had nested at the Harwood Golf Club in Hudson, Quebec.

A pair of Red-shouldered Hawks has returned to nest at the Harwood Golf Club in Vaudreuil. While walking in the woods we came across this juvenile. It appeared to be learning to hunt above someone's house which had many squirrels and chipmunks. The parents were in nearby trees calling continuously.
