This species is a Patagonian endemic. Here it was close to its nest, which was in a hole in the sand.

I'm not completely sure about the ID of this bird, since Patagonian Mockingbird is supposed to have a completely black tail. But the color of the upperparts was more Patagonian-like.. Whatever it was, it was really confident and climbed on our car's antenna!

Female Mourning Sierra-Finch from Peninsula Valdés. It is pretty common there, along with the endemic Carbonated Sierra-Finch which is similar but lacks the white wingbars.

Kelp Gulls are often found around sea lions in Peninsula Valdés. They sometimes also harass whales!

This Chimango Caracara was observed at a water treatment plant close to Trelew. These birds are quite adapted to urban environments and are found very close to cities.
