Blenheim lagoons - A common species in migration at this location. There were hundreds in the lagoons but only a small number of adult males.

Superb capture.
This species has been very frustrating. Ruddy Ducks all over the place but so few good looking adult males and they always seemed to be too far out. This one broke the rule long enough for me to grab a few shots.
