This wide distributed little bird is also presented in Taiwan. I found this lone stonechat perching on a branch at some distance away.

This is strange to see this bird in Taiwan in stead of Africa. Some sacred ibis escaped from captivity and became very common around Taiwanese river bank. This is rather large (indeed very large) bird looking for food in the sand or water.

This little bird is usually hiding within bushes and weeds, so it is difficult to detect and to photo but is a common species. Usually came as a flock and noisy.

This migratory bird is from Northern Asia, Siberia, China or Korea. This one was on a school ground and fairly close to me. The scaly black marks on the chester is the identification for this species.

Siberian rubythroat is a winter visitor in Taiwan, usually hiding under the weeds and trees. This particular bird was standing on a rock to show as a model on the runway. Stationary and asking for the attention, I got many good photos about 2 meters from this bird at the famous Yehliu Geological Park on the Northeast coast of Taiwan. Did this bird just finished a long flight over sea from north (China, Korea or Japan)? Since that encounter, I saw the similar species many times and never got any decent shot at all.

Chinese bulbul is the most common bird in Taiwan. It produces nice song and can be seen everywhere. It is also a pretty bird and like to live together with large number together, so it can be quite noisy.

Formosan blue magpie or Taiwan blue magpie. This pretty bird is faily large with very long and nice tail feathers. It might be elected as Taiwan national bird. This crow family species live in a tight family structure, so the sighting is always at least four or more birds. Very aggresive, the flight looks more like floating than hard beating of the wings.
