Chris: Stunning photo of an equally stunning species
Brian Morin: The Hooded is one of the warblers we hope to find on trips south in the spring. It was a tough task this year as there were few reports in the park and the birds tended to stay out of sight. On top of that, the light was very bad when this individual was spotted, mainly backlight. I managed to get a couple of opportunities to capture the moment.

Collingwood - I had great views of the bird for an hour after a 4 1/2 hour wait sitting on a boulder on the shore. It was a beautiful subject.

Chris: Terrific find and snap!
Brian Morin: This bird was well out of my way but I knew it would be worth the trip if I saw it. Fortunately that proved to be true and I clicked away for an hour in multiple terrific settings. Its feeding pattern, darting to and fro faster than you can blink, is incredible. At one point it was catching 2-3 minnows per minute. Great Blue Herons could take lessons.

Strathroy - A pair bred here last year. A male has returned but there was no female yet. The next closest breeding is possibly Manitoba (rarely) and Saskatchewan but mainly Alberta. It's a great find.
