The Pintail was being constantly harrassed by a Snowy Egret. Wherever it chose to sit along the bank, the Egret would follow and force the Pintail to a new spot. Black Point Trail, Merritt Island, Florida.

Having not seen a Spoonbill all week, we were sure that luck was not with us. On our last day of shooting this Spoonbill showed up in the marshes along the trail and put on a show whipping its bill back and forth through the water. Black Point Trail, Merritt Island NWR, Florida.

There were thousands of Coots in the marshes near Merritt Island NWR. It was a slow drive along the trails as the coots were like chickens, running down the road in front of the vehicle rather than go into the grass. Merritt Island, Florida.
