In a scene that highlights the need for conservation and awareness, the Greater Flamingo flies against the backdrop of the towering metropolis of Dubai. The UAE government should be commended for preserving a vital estuary in the immediate vicinity of one of the world's fastest-growing cities. However the great species of the world are at an ever-increasing risk of disappearance as we push them to their limits.
