This is the subspecies from the eastern slopes of the Andes (Ocreatus underwoodii peruanus).It has buff "boots' whereas the subspecies in the west has white "boots" (Ocreatus underwoodii melanatherus).

The Booted Racket-tail from the eastern slopes of the Andes has buff boots and the subspecies from the western slopes ,has white boots.
