These elegant birds presented a very difficult challenge to photograph.They were constantly flying back and forth on the small island ( Swan Cay) where they were nesting.We were in a boat rocking with the waves.We felt priveledged to be able to see the only nesting colony in Panama.

It is not the most wonderful shot, because the sea was very rough and the boat was rocking from side to side.

It was a thrill to see these gorgeous birds on their nesting grounds.They were very hard to photograph as they were very active and the boat was rocking!
