This reedbed inhabitant was photographed in a very pretty park just at the side of the international airport in Barcelona. Here a lot of even rare species have their homes, not caring at all about the terrible noise from the landing planes that fly just overhead!

This skulker is not very easy to observe but with some patience it can happen! This was taken from a hide. Their calls sound like a screaming pig!

African Darters are very similar to their South American relative, the Anhinga. The most distinctive thing about these bird is that when they swim, their boy is completely underwater, and onl their long necks stick out of the surface!
