This reedbed inhabitant was photographed in a very pretty park just at the side of the international airport in Barcelona. Here a lot of even rare species have their homes, not caring at all about the terrible noise from the landing planes that fly just overhead!

This skulker is not very easy to observe but with some patience it can happen! This was taken from a hide. Their calls sound like a screaming pig!

All cormorants have very colorful eyes. The Great Cormorant (here the African ssp. lucidus) has them in blue!
