Cooper Marsh - Lancaster. I don't make a habit of taking cormorant pictures but this one was out of place in a lily choked canal and the setting was attractive so I just had to take the shot.

Ottawa - This species occurs on western Lake Ontario each fall in small numbers but is rare in Eastern Ontario. Most Sabine's seen in the south are juveniles. Adults are very rare. The dark gray head and yellow-tipped bill are distinct.

Chesterville - It hardly seems worthwhile taking a picture of a Crow but this bird piqued my curiosity. It spent a few minutes working on a partial cob of corn then flew away with its prize.

St. Albert - this Moorhen family (renamed Common Gallinule) had 6 chicks. At one point it grew to 10 when another female asked this one to mind the kids while she went shopping for lunch :)
