Ottawa - This species occurs on western Lake Ontario each fall in small numbers but is rare in Eastern Ontario. Most Sabine's seen in the south are juveniles. Adults are very rare. The dark gray head and yellow-tipped bill are distinct.

Chesterville - It hardly seems worthwhile taking a picture of a Crow but this bird piqued my curiosity. It spent a few minutes working on a partial cob of corn then flew away with its prize.

St. Albert - this Moorhen family (renamed Common Gallinule) had 6 chicks. At one point it grew to 10 when another female asked this one to mind the kids while she went shopping for lunch :)

Point Pelee National Park - I have been lucky enough to hear a couple of these birds in the past but seeing one is a first for me and for hundreds of others as well.

Ottawa - This bird is Ontario's first Little Egret. It was spotted last week a few km away but only seen really for a day; refound in Kanata today. It does move around quite a bit. Last week it had head plumes. Gone now. Feet yellow but not quite as bright as Snowy Egret. Lores, in front of eyes, blue/gray. A bit larger than Snowy Egret but much smaller than Great Egret.
