Now known as African Penguin this is Southern Africa's only penguin. Go to Boulders beach in the Western Cape to see them. But another 6 species penguins have arrived as vagrants. I have some shots of some taken elsewhere in the world

Just a couple of records in the Cape. We were fortunate to see this bird on the way down to Macquarie as it does not stray far at that time of year from its breeding grounds on Chatham
