This spring there were a few pairs of Bitterns calling in the swamps. We saw them more than ever, but few decent photo ops. This one was on a mound pumping himself up and calling.

The hotel had a chairlift to the top of a hill. At the base there were a number of hummingbird feeders, where this photo was taken.

I saw this fellowat a distance land at the edge of a swampy area. Having previously had a glimpse of a hawk in this area, I approached carefully and started shooting as soon as a clear shot was available. Good thing, he didn't hang around like the Trogons and Motmots.

The pathways of the hotel grounds were a birders paradise. On our return from a steamy walk this fellow was overhead, and not particularly shy.
