This bird is quite plain but it is interesting (for me) because its group is believed to be the ancestor of the wheatears. They are also found on the slopes of Mount Kenya and are quite tame!

This is also called Montane White-eye, and for good reason. We found this one at over 3000 m altitude!

The name says it all for this bird!! They were very numerous and also very curious, always around our dining room for some remains!

Unfortunately most of my Kenya pics have gone lost... but I could recover some of them like this one of a nice Red-billed Hornbill!

Southwestern storms often bring North American vagrants to the coast of Iceland. This one landed by the road while I was driving and looked pretty tired, since it did not move away from me for a while. I observed it in the next days and it looked much better, sign that it was recovering from fatigue!
