Stunning find and photo. Would you say it’s more elusive than LeConte’s?
They are in the same category but this one seemed to be just a bit tougher to me.

I haven’t seen one for years!
They likely appear in many wetlands in migration, especially along our major rivers (Ottawa-St. Lawrence) but they are so secretive most go undetected.

Very lucky that it stayed relatively still in the clear for about 20 seconds. After that it was behind leaves, which is typical for the species.
