Alfred - Identified as male because it was singing on territory. It is not a spectacular species but it has a pleasant song.

Great find, nicely captured.
For me it was not just about the bird but the complete picture. The setting was great with a neutral background and much character in the post.
Great job Brian. You can just see a bit of chestnut wing patch as well.
It is partially obscured but showing just enough. Oddly enough this is a species I’ve had a great deal of difficulty photographing well. In this case the bird remained on the post with me parked on the road.
