Egrets are not rare in this area but they do grab our attention, especially in a situation like this. The bird was at the small pond west of the visitor centre, viewable from the new blind. It was fortunately a few metres beyond the morning sunlight which made capturing white feather detail easier. There was no disturbance in the water, making an almost mirror-like reflection possible. It was as close to perfect as you could get.
