Hillman Marsh - An annual spring migrant in very low numbers. This year there were about 20, an exceptional number. Long-bills arrive about 7-10 days before Short-bills making identification easier. Females of both species have longer bills. Bill fairly straight without noticeable droop.

Fantastic capture.
Fantastic is right – perfect lighting!
End of day light and a nice looking subject. I have seen a number of fall birds back home but this was my first chance to capture a breeding adult.
