Agreed. This one posed nicely in typical vertical profile which is a unique look for this ‘solitary’ species of thrush.

Thanks. I really enjoyed this bird. I was explaining its significance to an elderly neighbour there who had not seen it and mentioned that it is a cousin of the Robin. Then a Robin flew into a nearby tree and seconds later the Solitaire joined it. She was impressed.
