Collingwood - I had great views of the bird for an hour after a 4 1/2 hour wait sitting on a boulder on the shore. It was a beautiful subject.

Terrific find and snap!
This bird was well out of my way but I knew it would be worth the trip if I saw it. Fortunately that proved to be true and I clicked away for an hour in multiple terrific settings. Its feeding pattern, darting to and fro faster than you can blink, is incredible. At one point it was catching 2-3 minnows per minute. Great Blue Herons could take lessons.
