Blue-hooded Euphonia.
This tiny bird wears his name well, with his sky-blue hood. I first thought I had Hummingbirds when I pointed my camera upwards. They are in the same size range. We found the flock in a little park (originally a banana plantation) across the street from the hotel, in Monteverde.

As wrens go, this one is quite large. Not afraid of people nearby. It was hanging around the trees just off the beach area.

The beaches of Sanibel Island are a great feeding spot for shorebirds. Every high tide washes up live molusks by the millions. These birds were fattening up before heading to the arctic.

This shot if from the other shore, with the sun behind. Makes a big difference. Again in the St Lazare sandpit.

A few of these birds were hanging about the St Lazare sandpits. It might be the Lesser YL.

A different view of the Titmouse from Granby. BTW my Nat. Geographic B/B shows his range well South of Quebec. Global warming ?

We specifically went to Lac Boivin in Granby to see the Titmouse, and found him.
