Kingston - This is a leucistic bird with nearly pure white feathering. There is some pale beige on the underwing and under the tail but otherwise, to the untrained eye, this looks like either a white morph Gyrfalcon or a Snowy Owl. It is not a local bird, only moving into the area a few weeks ago.

Ingleside - I worked with this bird for 30 minutes and by the end I could approach fairly closely in the car. The sun came out for a very brief time giving me some nice light for my subject.

Ingleside - I know it's only a Red-tail but these guys are notoriously difficult to shoot so any time I get the chance I see what I can get away with. Of course younger birds are easier to deal with than adults but even they can present a challenge.
