I almost walked into a flock of six while looking for ducks and loons out in the ocean. They are very tolerant of people.

Finally added this species to my life list, which is strange as they are year round residents at the BC Ferries Terminal. I got lucky to see it this close up at Point Roberts.

A first for the site as well.
