Indian Yellow-nosed Albatross- a bird of the Indian Ocean. You have a good chance of seeing one on a pelagic out of Durban

The Albatross is my favourite bird. You can find 15 of the 22 species of Albatross in south African waters although a few have just been recorded as vagrants. We have never had the North Pacific birds- Waved,Black-footed, and Short-tailed but there is one record of Laysan's. We are missing some of the New Zealand birds as well. Gibson's, White-capped, and Antipodean. There is one doubtful record of Amsterdam- the one albatross I still need to see
