The origin of this bird is unknown, however I'm going to assume it's an escape or release and place the Domesticated tag on this photo.
He was following a female Wood Duck for the entire time I watched him. He even made CBC News headlines in Vancouver. Either way hundreds of people were lined up to see him put on one of nature's most impressive displays.

It was noted how long the legs are on this species. Perhaps an adaptation to spending much if it's life low amongst the Jack Pines. Long Point, Ontario, Canada.
