This bird has been around for a couple of weeks, had two companions earlier. It was completely unconcerned about people. This is uncropped from about 6ft away.

These Snow Buntings were almost invisible as they huddled against the side of a barn. They did well in keeping out of the 30-40km/h wind.

There have been a pair here for about 3 weeks. The Iona and Tsawwassen jettys provide a limited tundra like environment that attracts, Buntings, Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs in fall and winter.

Ingleside - Snow Buntings are everywhere this winter. Some of the flocks are huge, close to 1,000 birds but flocks of 100-300 are easy to find.

Snow Buntings making several passes overhead at Baie du Febvre, Quebec. We also saw several other 'winter' species such as Bohemian Waxwing, Rough-legged Hawk and Horned Lark in the area.
