The rain and fog cancelled our annual New Years trip to Ile Bizard, however Ile Roxboro provided this merganser keeping vigil along the edge of the ice on the back river.

Shot taken on a spring outing at the Ile Bizard, Nature Park. Not my greatest shot, but my first encounter with such a fine bird. Looking forward to taking some better shots.
