Our guide had tried to call this bird in during our lunch break with no luck. Ours was the last vehicle to leave and I heard a call back as we were packing up. We managed to get the rest of the group back for a look.

This was the undisputed highlight of our birding tour, taken around 10:30 PM high above Kelowna. Usually our guide is happy to have one answer him, this one appeared in his spotlight long enough for the group to view and photograph.
This was my only lifer on the tour.
