The hotel had a chairlift to the top of a hill. At the base there were a number of hummingbird feeders, where this photo was taken.
I am not certain about the ID, could use help.

I first saw him from a distance on the path, as the racquet tip of his tail was not evident, I wasn't sure what he was. With my slow approach he flew of into the shrubs on the side of the path. That was when I knew I had a Motmot. It took some persistence to get clear shots. Luckily, for some reason Motmots don't scare easily.

I saw this fellowat a distance land at the edge of a swampy area. Having previously had a glimpse of a hawk in this area, I approached carefully and started shooting as soon as a clear shot was available. Good thing, he didn't hang around like the Trogons and Motmots.

The pathways of the hotel grounds were a birders paradise. On our return from a steamy walk this fellow was overhead, and not particularly shy.

We did our birders pilgrimage down Pipeline Road. Half way through we came across an army ant colony on the move and their path was to the edge of our road. A number of birds were in attendance. The Bicoloured Antbirds were the most numerous. At the time I was not the owner of a Betterbeamer, so photography was difficult in the understory gloom.

From the colour in flight, I thought I had seen a pigeon fly into a distant dark tree. I took a few photos as I approached and the bird flew off before I could get a good look. It was only when I got home that I found out I had done better.
