This was a real surprise to see at Surrey today. Very shy, he only appeared for 10 seconds and went back to hiding in the hedge

Details: female

Out for a brief moment from the dense brush, the elusive Varied Bunting made an appearance. A male had been in the same area, and so hopefully they managed to nest. Lower Rio Grande Valley NWR, Yturria Tract sector.
