Ottawa - last week's strong southwesterly winds blew Mountain Bluebirds into Ontario. Ottawa was one of the beneficiaries. Had a great time with this very cooperative bird.

Two female Mountain Bluebirds, one with rufous colouring. When I took these I thought that one was a Say's Phoebe, didn't realize my mistake until I saw the downloads a week later.

Along with the amazing rutting elk, Moraine park hosted a wealth of birds in the meadows. Probably the most common were Mountain Bluebirds.

Southwest of Calgary on a gravel road. Not the clearest shot, the males colours always seem to fool the camera. The next one of the female is better. First for this board.
