Hammond's Flycatcher had just caught a bee and went on feeding in the very lush mountainside of West Vancouver, British Columbia. The species has a dark bill with very little orange, a grayish appearance and the primaries extend more towards the tail.

We were invited by a local farmer to come to his yard and check out his hummingbirds, swallows and finches. When he mentioned Lazuli Bunting, I stayed until finally this one appeared.
