The cameramen were feeding this bird before the competition started.

This is a lifer for me. It is probably a Willow Ptarmigan based on bill size and a female based on plumage, but I need Chris to add to the species list.

22 months later and I finally identified the bird on the right. The one in the left foreground is stlll not known. The Pyrhuloxia on left was the original reason I took the photo.

An addition to the yard list, this bird was spotted by my wife on the Douglas Fir tree in our front yard. Not a lifer, but the first remotely decent photo I have ever taken of this species.
