This is to give some perspective on the speed at which it was build. It took the Robin 12 hours to built this and another 12 before the nest was fully completed. Four days after starting, the first egg appeared.

I'm not sure how long Lou and I waited for this bird. He was calling for some time, and then through a pocket of very dense woods made a brief appearance. Striking bird. Wagonwheel Rd, east of Osoyoos, BC.

Presqu'ile Provincial Park - This was my consolation for an almost complete failure with shorebirds in the park. The beach was virtually non existent because of high lake level. At least there were songbirds.
