This bird was rescued from the window strike.
He started to lift his head and move it from side to side so we knew he didn't have a broken neck.
A while later,he started to eat.rescued at noon,released at 3:15

Pine Siskin (Jan.16,2009 Pointe Claire,Qc)
This little fellow hit our window.We looked out to see his wings stretched out and his head buried in the snow.I rushed out and picked him up expecting him to be dead.He was limp but I felt a heartbeat.I warmed him in my hands and placed him on the floor of a bird cage with water and thistleseed.
After 3 hours in the house he was eating and moving , ready for release.Bonne voyage.
